Data Availability

Sharing the data and code behind published results.

The journal encourages authors to share the data, code, and materials behind their findings so that results can be verified, replicated, and reused. Every article must include a Data availability statement.

What Authors Should Do

  • Describe the data in the Method section, including source, size, period, and collection procedure.
  • Share code, datasets, and hardware designs (for example on GitHub archived to Zenodo).
  • Deposit the data or code in a trusted repository that issues a persistent identifier, such as Zenodo, Figshare, Mendeley Data, or an institutional repository, and cite it in the references.
  • Cite every public dataset used in the study in the reference list.
  • Where data cannot be shared for legal, ethical, privacy, or commercial reasons, explain why and how qualified researchers may request access.
