By submitting, the corresponding author confirms on behalf of all authors that:
- The manuscript is original, has not been published before (except as a preprint or thesis), and is not under consideration by another journal.
- The topic fits the Focus and Scope.
- Overall similarity is below 20%, with no more than 3% from any single source (Plagiarism Policy).
- All authors meet the authorship criteria and have approved the submission and the author order.
- Every author has an ORCID iD, entered in the submission form with a full affiliation and country.
- Research involving human participants, personal data, or animals has the required consent and ethical approval.

Manuscript Structure
Research articles follow the structure below. Reviews may replace Method and Results with the review protocol and synthesis.
Methods and Reporting
Reviewers for SEIN pay particular attention to the following points:
- Explain the design of the system, device, or application with diagrams, and justify the design choices.
- Describe the experimental setup, materials, instruments, and calibration, including measurement uncertainty.
- Evaluate the result quantitatively against requirements or existing solutions (for example accuracy, response time, energy use, or ISO/IEC 25010 quality characteristics).
- For user-facing systems, report the evaluation method (for example usability testing, SUS, or TAM-based surveys) with the sample size.
- State software and hardware versions and share code, data, and designs where possible.
Please follow the relevant reporting guideline: PRISMA 2020 for systematic reviews.
Formatting
- File: Microsoft Word (.docx) prepared with the SEIN template; LaTeX users may contact the editor.
- Language: clear academic English, checked by a proficient speaker or professional editing service before submission. Manuscripts with language problems that obscure the meaning are returned before review.
- Headings: numbered, at most three levels (1., 1.1., 1.1.1.).
- Tables: editable (not images), numbered, with a title above; explain abbreviations in a note below.
- Figures: at least 300 dpi, readable when printed in grayscale, numbered, with a caption below; cite the source of any figure not created by the authors and obtain permission where needed.
- Equations: created with the Word equation editor, numbered on the right, and every symbol defined.
- Units and numbers: SI units; a period as the decimal separator; define abbreviations at first use.
- Footnotes: avoid; integrate the information into the text.
References
- Use IEEE style and a reference manager (Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote).
- At least 25 references for research articles, of which at least 80% are journal articles or peer-reviewed proceedings from the last ten years.
- Every reference is cited in the text and every citation appears in the reference list.
- Include the DOI of every reference that has one.
- Cite the original source, not a secondary one; avoid predatory journals, unpublished theses, and non-scholarly websites.
- Self-citation should be limited to what is genuinely relevant.
- References must be written in Latin script. For a work not in English, give the original title transliterated, followed by an English translation in square brackets, and indicate the language.
Cite references in the text with numbers in square brackets, for example [1] or [2]–[4], numbered in order of first appearance.
Required Declarations
Place these statements before the references. Use the wording below as a model.
How to Submit
- Register or log in on this website and choose Make a Submission.
- Upload the anonymized manuscript (without author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, or identifying file properties).
- Upload a separate title page with full author information and the declarations.
- Enter the metadata exactly as in the manuscript: title, abstract, keywords, and every author with affiliation, country, and ORCID iD. This metadata is what indexing services receive.
- Optionally upload a cover letter explaining the contribution and suggesting two to three potential reviewers without conflicts of interest.
- Confirm the submission checklist and the copyright terms, then submit.
After Submission
