Analysis of the Cyber Crime Phenomenon in Indonesia: Trends, Impacts, and Challenges Through Systematic Literature Review
Keywords:
Cyber Crime, Personal Data Protection, Trends, Impact, Challenges, SLR (Systematic Literature Review)Abstract
This research analyzes the phenomenon of cybercrime in Indonesia through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, focusing on the trends, impacts, and challenges faced. The findings show a significant surge in cyber-attacks, driven by the development of digital technology and an increase in internet users. Cybercrime modes are increasingly varied, including malware, phishing, and theft of personal data through malicious applications or system gaps. The impact of cybercrime is multidimensional, including massive financial losses in various sectors, erosion of public trust in government and private institutions due to large-scale data leakage incidents,
and social-psychological impacts on victims. Challenges in handling cybercrime in Indonesia include suboptimal implementation of data protection regulations, privacy policy clauses that harm consumers, weak law enforcement, limited infrastructure and human resources in the field of cybersecurity, and low levels of public awareness of personal data protection. This research emphasizes the urgency of
strengthening inter-party collaboration and comprehensive improvements in the legal framework, technological capacity, and public education to build a safer and more reliable digital ecosystem in Indonesia.
